My theatre work has been staged in Aberdeen's His Majesty's Theatre, The Lemon Tree and at the National Festival of Youth Theatre.
I was co-Writer and co-Script Editor for the 2022 and 2023 Aberdeen Student Shows, Dirty Dancing and Ayetanic, an annual tradition which is performed by students at Aberdeen’s His Majesty’s Theatre to raise money for local charities. Ayetanic raised a record-breaking £125,056, while Dirty Danestone raised over £103,000. I was also the Script Editor for the 2017 Aberdeen Student Show, Sister Echt, and 2014’s Wullie Wonkie and the Fine Piece Factory.
In 2021, I worked on a new play commissioned as part of Ten Feet Tall’s Splendid Isolation project funded by Creative Scotland, alongside new work by Jo Gilbert, Laura Miller, Jack Hughes and Ten Feet Tall. I developed, ‘Foreigners’, a series of poetic monologues exploring romantic relationships across Europe.
In collaboration with visual artist Kate Steenhauer and musician-composer Ross Whyte, 'The Shelter' was a verbatim theatre show inspired by bus shelter conversations in Aberdeen, created with support from the National Theatre of Scotland. It was performed in March 2019 as part of NTS’s Just Start Here festival at The Anatomy Rooms in Aberdeen. This followed an initial collaboration as part of the National Theatre of Scotland's 'One Day to Play' project at The Lemon Tree in October 2017 which you can read more about on my blog, and further development in early 2018 with support from Aberdeen Performing Arts.
